White Lotus Still Shines

White Lotus Season 3 premieres on February 16th—and it’s only fitting to look back at past seasons to prepare for the big event.

Let's rewind to more than two ago when we first laid eyes on the heavenly White Lotus hotel in Taormina, Sicily. The guests we got to know during their week-long luxury stays—over seven episodes—are all indelible characters. Plus, it turns out, two of our favorites Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) and Harper (Audrey Plaza) happen to be fans of Cast jewelry.

One of the coolest things about seeing our pieces on screen (we had no advance notice about what, if anything, would be featured) is the thoughtful way the show's costume designer Alex Bovaird uses the rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants to express each character’s unique style and personality. 

Indeed, because Cast has such an eclectic collection, scoring jewelry for women with polar-opposite aesthetics is easy. For example, Bovaird knew right away that our Flip Ring screamed Jennifer’s ultra-colorful Tanya. Similarly, Bovaird recognized that several of our chic, more understated options embodied Harper’s enigmatic nature to a T.

Tanya McQuoid Hunt

Who is she? An eccentric-slash-unstable billionaire drama queen with a penchant for bold, vibrant prints and Italian designers. Statement-making jewelry ensures all eyes on her.

Tanya's not a woman who fades into the background. Much of this owes to her love of oversized designer prints —mirroring her, ahem. oversized personality. But if there’s one place her colorful style fits right in, it's the luxurious White Lotus resort overlooking the Ionian Sea.

That Tanya favors a couple of our glam-iest pieces with fun color pops and rich patterns? Of course. We love that she's rarely seen without her fabulous Capri ring. And during episode 3, we spied her flipping it several times. Ooh, there's the turquoise and malachite combo. Wait, no, now it's pave diamond and lapis. Do the flips mean she's nervous? Are they a metaphor for turmoil within? Or, is she just admiring her multifaceted stunner? Whatever the sitch, the four-rings-in-one thing really suits her.

Harper Spiller

Who is she? A take-no-BS lawyer who speaks her mind and judges with aplomb. Her wardrobe is modern, elegant and timeless, à la Audrey Hepburn. The jewelry vibe is classic with an edge.

Oh, Harper, how do we love thee. Your smarts, edge are everything. Same for your resort style, characterized by clean, architectural silhouettes in luxe fabrics and neutral shades of white, navy and black. (Note: pops of color do show up on occasion, i.e., bright yellow designer tote, episode 1.)

Pulled-together exterior (that headband!) and deadpan delivery aside, we also get glimpses of Harper's vulnerabilities and true heart—especially in scenes with her hot-tech-nerd-hubby Ethan. And since jewelry choice is an expression of self, Harper's attraction to our Icon Collection is spot on.

Like her, the pieces are a blend of sharp and soft, light and dark. It's these powerful contradictions that keep us intrigued…and anxiously awaiting the next episode. Most immediately, we want to know if Harps and Daphne become BFFs and, naturally, if any new Cast members make an appearance.
