Now that gift-giving is upon us, we asked Will to curate his picks for every one—and at every price point—on his list. From the cocktail rings she’ll want to wear en masse to the classic hoops that’ll delight any generation, he’s taking the guesswork out of making that list and checking it twice.
See Will’s curation of sure-to-please finds and his styling tips for wearing them year round.
Gift Giving
The One Investment Piece: “The Iced Icon Wristlet is a true investment piece: buy now, wear forever.”
The One That Everyone Will Love: “The Major Defiant Hoop in gold or silver is a no-brainer gift. From your sister to your daughter to your grandmother -- everyone would look good in that hoop.”
Holiday Style
Expect The Unexpected: “Don't limit yourself to red and green -- jewel tones like purple, citrine, deep blue, are all beautifully festive especially in velvets and satins. Then you pair them with your colored stone jewels.”
On Cocktails At Midnight:
Pair Them With: "Cocktail rings—especially those with eye-catching stones—offset an LBD or le smoking worn to a holiday soirée (or two) this December. Their appeal is they look just as juicy with lofty knits all season long, and jeans and an easy white tee any time of year."
Wear Them With: Balance out a multi-cocktail ring look with a weighty earring like the major fluid hoops and a simple chain like the baby brazen necklace. These pieces finish the look but don't compete for attention, allowing the rings to shine completing the look.
One Is Never Enough: Cocktail rings are great en masse. I would say the most you can do is three on one hand and two on the other. leave the middle finger empty when you are doing multiple rings. Give the others room to breathe. I love a cocktail ring on the pointer finger, it feels bold and assertive. When you wear a lot of cocktail rings, go light on bracelets and vice versa.
Holiday Cheer
Now Playing: I love the whole Charlie Brown Christmas Album by the Vince Guaraldi Trio. It's nostalgic and upbeat with a jazzy flair—great background for a party.
New Traditions: I'm a Jew that's obsessed with Christmas. I collect ‘50s "shiny brite" glass ornaments in punchy primary colors and usually put a small tree atop my bar.
